I've been playing guitar since 1963.
For over 40 years, flat picks have slipped from my fingers.
For over 40 years I've tried to stop the slip by tightening my pick grip!

Tightening stiffened my arm, shoulder, and worse of all, my wrist.

So I bought lots of picks, everything from tortoise, to plastic, to stone.
End result, I kept dropping the slippery suckers.

I reshaped them, melted them, filed them, glued them, tested them,
And started over.

All this time I knew there had to be a better way!

I Found a Better Way! The horizontal Cross Branch keeps the pick from slipping while it provides a fulcrum for speed picking! The vertical Cross Branch keeps the pick from turning while it provides stability. End Result---my wrist is loose and relaxed, my playing faster, smoother and my mind is free to concentrate on my music!

When I was in my teens, I was blessed with an amazing mentor,
Guitar Virtuoso, Joe Pass!

My first lesson with Joe Pass was near the old Circle Star Theatre where
Joe was playing with Ella Fitzgerald, and Count Basie!

Joe taught me for hours that day before his concert.
He taught me personal discipline, chord melody playing, and finally we played duets and I noticed his broken picks!

I designed CrossPick to emulate the way Joe held his pick and played with a very loose wrist.

The CrossPick Idea Evolved from my Lessons with Guitar Virtuoso Joe Pass Joe Pass had a tremendous impact on not just my playing but my life. He took the time to help me understand how to succeed by focusing, By using every available minute to accomplish my goal. I owe Joe a tremendous amount for his knowledge, interest, and time he gave freely to a young kid that admired him. I sincerely believe Joe is smiling in Heaven, knowing he made a difference.
